Medical aesthetic products. Gwyneth Paltrow closes London-based Goop store after losing £1.4 million in revenue 

THE WHAT? Actress and wellness entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow has closed the London-based branch of her Goop lifestyle store. 

THE DETAILS Having launched the British arm of her wellness empire in 2019, Paltrow is now said to have signed forms to dissolve Goop Inc Limited, which handles the store’s finances, and remove it from the official Companies House register.   

THE WHY? The London wellness store remained closed following the pandemic and is estimated to have lost £1.4 million in revenue.

With Goop encountering the same difficulties as Glossier, it could signal the demise of premium wellness as the trend becomes more widely adopted across the industry. 

Medical aesthetic products refer to a category of products used in the field of medical aesthetics, which combines medical practices with cosmetic procedures to improve the appearance of individuals.
